National ICS Class
We are excited to announce a National ICS Class, hosted by one of our partner departments is now available to any fire service professional interested in learning the latest ICS technique for managing and expanding command during an expanding incident.
The Allen (Texas) Fire Department will be hosting this innovative new class on January 22, 23, and 24 2014.
The class will teach the students a method of managing command that has greatly improved fireground operations on single and multi-alarm fires over the last three years.
Students will be taken through approximately 30 simulated fires over the course of three days with the goal of encouraging a better understanding of why systems break down on the fireground and how to avoid those pitfalls in the real world.
Each scenario will be followed by an in-depth post incident critique involving:
- Use of groups and divisions
- Proper communication objectives
- Tracking units
- Emergency procedures
