| FLAME-SIM is a virtual environment to train tactics specific to your department. FLAME-SIM is different from the classic 2D simulation products on the market today, in that it makes each firefighter participating in the training make decisions on the fireground. This allows firefighters to employ lessons learned in the classroom in 3D virtual world, which has proven to train firefighters more effectively than videos or verbal instruction. Our users like to consider FLAME-SIM training the "practical application" of lessons learned in the classroom.
FLAME-SIM relies upon four core principles to deliver the latest in training technology to fire departments around the world: Customization, Decision Making, Communication, and Accountability. |

Create millions of new scenarios with our apparatus and scenario editors. Each new scenario takes less than 10 minutes to create ensuring your department spends more time training and less time developing scenarios. Once you have started a fire, the fire model will grow and spread on it's own without input from a facilitator and the fire will react to tactics that firefighters employ while working on the scene. |
| FLAME-SIM focuses on fireground decision making at every level, where the actions of each firefighter affect the results of the scenario. This allows EVERY participant in the training event to learn, as opposed to involving only the Incident Commander. FLAME-SIM does not limit the actions of the firefighter, allowing them to make mistakes that they might make on the fireground and giving command the ability to correct those mistakes in FLAME-SIM. Firefighters can open any ventilation point, vent-enter-search, set fans and employ many more tactics in the FLAME-SIM environment, eliminating the need to script every correct and incorrect action of a firefighter. Ensuring that you will never have to tell a user, "I don't have that slide". |

The dynamic nature of FLAME-SIM allows departments to experience the same type of communication as is commonly heard on the fireground. Common problems such as poor/inaccurate arrival reports or fire/smoke location descriptions, "talking over" other companies' communications, unnecessary communications, and many more are brought to light when operating in FLAME-SIM environments, allowing you to correct this behavior in the virtual world and transfer desired behaviors to the fireground. |
| FLAME-SIM tracks the actions of each user in each scenario to tell you the order of events in each scenario. Read the FLAME-SIM after-action report to see when the 360 was completed, when the gas was turned off, or when windows were vented. You can see the order in which rooms were searched and doors were opened and many more actions of firefighters on the virtual fireground. All of this allows you better tracking of who, what and when on the virtual fire scene.
